History

Aula Abierta was born in 1973 with the aim of acwing to educational publications.

The magazine was initially quarterly periodic and directed by Professor Tomás Recio. From 1979 it became quarterly periodic; between 1984 and 1988 they alternated the quarterly and semi-annual periodicity, consolidating the latter from 1989.

In 1993 a commemorating the 20 years presented by the then Rector of the University of Oviedo, Professor Santiago Gascón, who highlighted above all the fact that Open Classroom which had been born with a regional geographical framework had become national and international outreach magazine.

The magazine Aula Abierta, has been evaluated by the Content Selection; Advisory Board (CSAB) of Scopus, and finally accepted for inclusion in this publication base. Scopus is one of the main bases of publications at the international level, with which the magazine achieves with this inclusion to significantly increase its dissemination and prestige.

Aula Abierta is a scientific journal that publishes the Institute of Educational Research and Innovation of the University of Oviedo and publishes four issues a year, January, April, July and October.

Currently, all those researchers who want to publish their scientific contributions in the field of Education have the doors of our journal open. The articles must be unpublished, empirical or theoretical in nature, written in Spanish or English, as a priority, and relevant to the professional groups to which the magazine is addressed.
